The folks at Luminous Landscape published an excellent article comparing the image quality of a $30,000.00 dollar Hasselblad and a $500.00 Canon point and shoot.

It goes to show that you need more brains than you do mega-what-evers and fast lenses.

    Strangely enough I do agree with him.

    At lower print sizes, the difference is so slight as to make no real impact.
    Infact I’d say that small prints from my 400D, are better than the prints from my 1Ds.

    Possibly this is due to the fact that ‘out of the box’ the 400D is easier to use than the 1Ds, which requires a bit more TLC to coax the very best quality out of it.

  2. I agree as well…there’s something to be said for having a “simpler” camera which might allow you to concentrate on “seeing” more.
